At Nihongo Know, a significant amount of time, research, and experience goes into creating original educational content. This Copyright Policy explains how our learning materials and digital resources may be used.
By purchasing products, enrolling in lessons, joining our membership, or accessing any content provided by Nihongo Know, you agree to comply with this policy.


1. Ownership

Unless otherwise stated, all content created and provided by Nihongo Know is the intellectual property of Haruka Fujimoto and Nihongo Know and is protected under Canadian and international copyright laws.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Printed workbooks
  • PDF worksheets
  • E-books
  • Lesson slides
  • Homework
  • Vocabulary lists
  • Kanji materials
  • Audio files
  • Video lessons
  • Recorded lessons
  • Online courses
  • Membership-only content
  • Digital downloads
  • Quizzes
  • Graphics
  • Illustrations
  • Logos
  • Website content
  • Course curriculum
  • Teaching methods and original educational resources

2. Personal Use Only

All purchased or provided materials are licensed for personal, non-commercial use by the registered student only.
Materials may not be shared with family members, friends, classmates, coworkers, tutors, schools, or any other third party.
Each purchase or membership grants access to one individual user only.


3. Prohibited Uses

Without prior written permission from Nihongo Know, you may not:

  • Copy or reproduce any materials.
  • Scan or photograph printed materials.
  • Record lessons, videos, or audio.
  • Screenshot or screen-record member-only content.
  • Upload materials to cloud storage or file-sharing services for others.
  • Share login credentials.
  • Redistribute PDFs or digital products.
  • Email or forward learning materials.
  • Sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially use any materials.
  • Modify, translate, or create derivative works.
  • Upload materials to websites, forums, social media, Discord servers, Reddit, or similar platforms.
  • Use any Nihongo Know materials to teach, tutor, train, or develop your own educational products.

4. AI and Machine Learning

Unless expressly authorized in writing, Nihongo Know materials may not be:

  • uploaded to AI systems,
  • used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models,
  • incorporated into datasets,
  • reproduced by AI tools for redistribution,
  • or used to create competing educational resources.

Students may use AI tools to assist with their own personal study, provided that Nihongo Know materials themselves are not uploaded, redistributed, or shared in violation of this policy.


5. Online Courses and Membership

Content available through the Nihongo Know Store, online courses, and members-only areas is intended exclusively for the registered account holder.
You may not:

  • share your account,
  • allow others to access your membership,
  • distribute downloadable resources,
  • mirror or archive videos,
  • or provide access through another website or platform.

6. Lesson Recordings

Recording any lesson, whether online or in person, requires prior written permission from Haruka Fujimoto.
Unauthorized recording, distribution, or publication of lesson content is strictly prohibited.


7. Classroom Materials

Students may not remove, copy, photograph, or reproduce classroom resources without permission.
Any printed materials distributed during class remain protected by copyright.


8. Commercial Use

No Nihongo Know content may be used for commercial purposes without written authorization.
This includes:

  • tutoring
  • teaching
  • publishing
  • translation
  • course creation
  • educational businesses
  • AI training
  • corporate training
  • paid workshops

9. Copyright Infringement

Unauthorized use of Nihongo Know materials may result in:

  • suspension or termination of lesson access,
  • suspension or termination of membership,
  • removal of access to purchased digital content,
  • refusal of future enrollment,
  • requests to remove infringing content,
  • and, where appropriate, legal action to protect intellectual property rights.
